Abstract

Unlike industrial robots that assist in factories and have limited contact with humans, social robots are designed to interact with us. A social robot is an autonomous robot that interacts with people in a safe and comfortable manner. It must communicate and interact within the social rules attached to its task, which may be easy, moderate or complex.  This paper provides a brief introduction to the social robots.
